Captains Log

After three weeks of cancellations, the weather improved and members were able to race.

VITALITY BIG HALF

The conditions were an improvement on last year and i think everyone enjoyed their run around the streets of London. This was the first Half Marathon for John Hughes, Pebbles Wyard and Lynton Fairman and their times were a sign of how much they have improved since joining the club. I must also mention those who gave up their Sunday to help out on the baggage lorries. As always they did an excellent job.

ESSEX 20

A lot of people use this 3 lap race as Marathon training. Excellent running from Caroline Tuck saw her earn the 1st FV55 trophy. There were big Personal Bests from Mrs and Mr Salmon, Hannah Sheikh and the P:B Queen Jane Swanson-Sprent.
