CHINGFORD LEAGUE ROUND ROUND 5 HACKNEY MARSHES
The thinking was that this would be one of the easier cross country races of the season, as it was flat. Half 4.8 mile of the course being muddy put paid to that idea. Trying to keep upright and having to pull your feet out of the mud took its toll on the legs.

BENFLEET 15
Just like the the Chingford League race the day before, there was plenty of mud for our runners to contend with. Listening to comments afterwards, the general consensus was that it was tougher than previous years. Although that did not stop Jane Swanson Sprent setting a 20 minute course P.B. I have to add that Jane had Hackney marshes the day before, as had Andy Beazeley, Micheal Pegnall, Rahana Islam and Timi Veerasamy.
